What is Adult Dyslexia — A Guide for Dyslexic Adults

Are you an adult with Dyslexia that is unable to find resources designed for adults? Do you feel that Dyslexia in adulthood is vastly different than that in childhood?

So do I! That is why I set out to write, produce, and self-publish a guide for other dyslexic adults just like you & me!

To do this, I delved into the academic exploration of adult dyslexia, synthesizing and critically commenting on peer review articles.

I then combined this newfound knowledge with my own lived experience to create a guide accessible to all adult dyslexics.

This guide not only provides a comprehensive overview of dyslexia and its manifestations but also seeks to inspire others to speak up by offering strategies for moving forward and overcoming the challenges associated with dyslexia.

What is Adult Dyslexia — A Guide for Dyslexic Adults is for any adult who has or suspects they may have Dyslexia.

About the author:

Mikaÿla is a neurodivergent advocate who brings a lifetime of lived experience. Since being identified as dyslexic at the age of 8, she has been enthralled by the brain. Most notably, with questions such as: Why do some brains differ from others? She worked in educational settings for most of her adult life and later studied cognitive science to inform her inquiries further.
